Lifeline Theatre Summer Drama Camps

After much deliberation, Lifeline has decided to move all summer camps online and we're very excited about it!

Though this means that summer camp will now happen right in your home, our instructors are preparing activities and games that will take your camper's imagination to far away places. We are determined to bring all the fun - and as much social interaction as possible - to the virtual space, with lots of onscreen and off-screen projects. Camp will still focus on adaptation and performance, and our experienced instructors are already finding ways to explore the actors' tools and create ensemble by embracing the digital platform.

CAMP OPTIONS:

For our 5-7 year olds: Drama Kids Camp!

Session 1: July 6th -10th (exploring the story We Don't Eat Our Classmates, by Ryan T. Higgins)
Session 2: July 13th -17th (exploring Two Bad Ants, by Chris Van Allsburg) $50 per week
Drama Kids is a one-hour camp, from 10:00am - 11:00am, Mon-Fri. Campers can sign up for one or two weeks of full body drama fun.

Our 7-10 year olds will be exploring The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith. This hilarious fractured fairy tale is a perfect fit for a virtual adaptation!

Bonus Book Club! Join our online book club, and dive into The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, other versions of the story, and how point-of-view shapes who is a villain and who is a hero!

Tuesday, June 23rd, 3:00 - 4:00pm
Only $20 to participate!

$300
Drama Stars 2 campers will adapt A Tale Dark and Grimm, bringing their own twist to Adam Gidwitz's wholly original, dark and humorous tale.

Tuesday, June 30th, 3:00-4:00pm
Tuesday, July 7th, 3:00-4:00pm
Only $20 to participate!

And, back by popular demand: Lifeline's Theatre Intensive

Open to 7-14 year olds
July 27 - July 31st, 10:00am - 1:30pm, Mon-Fri
$170
Explore the fascinating technical aspects of theatre making! In this camp, each day will feature a different theatre professional who will provide a window into their specialty - costume design, puppetry, stage combat, set design - and lead campers through hands on activities. To add even more fun, each camper will receive a surprise box of supplies to work with from Lifeline before camp even starts!
