Ice skating is permitted on a “skate at your own risk” basis at six lakes and ponds in the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. Ice skating is prohibited on all other lakes.
Ice skating for kids at Crawdad Slough offers a unique and rustic outdoor experience in a peaceful, natural setting. Located within the Cook County Forest Preserves, this hidden gem provides a picturesque frozen pond where children can skate and enjoy the simplicity of winter fun surrounded by trees and wildlife.
Again, this is a “skate at your own risk” location.
