Open Aug 31 – Nov 2 2024.
Take a wagon ride to our apple orchard to go apple picking among 16,000 apple trees, highlighted by our popular Honeycrisp apple picking. Pre-picked apples can also be purchased in our Farm Market. There is also pumpkin picking and fall fun, see web site for details.
Very commercialized and expensive for what you get. Apple picking is closed this season and if you pay the ticket for still called apple picking, you get a little bag that you can fill from already picked apples stored in barrels. For about 2 lb of apples you pay $10 to $15 - Whole Foods has less expensive apples and these are not even organic. I understand the joy of apple picking, but it is not available this season. The kitchen they advertise as home baked goodies are just store bought goodies brought to this farm. Apple doughnuts looked like they were bought at Jewel. Hot dogs, fries, apply pie, we could not even finish the food, it was that bad. We would recommend any other farm than this one. We are not sure why it is the number one advertised by Chicago Kids. People from Chicago who make this long trip to Woodstock will not go back and will end up paying for whatever is offered - is that what they count on?
Our family had so much fun when we visited last fall! We did the apple picking and activities and ended up spending almost the entire day there. You can actually watch a lot of the bakery food being made through the observation windows they have. Our family's favorites were the donuts and cider - so good! Can't wait to go back again this fall.
