A visit to The Farmhouse Museum Campus is an opportunity to explore what your life might have been like in 19th century Elk Grove. Our museum campus includes an 1856 Farmhouse complete with furnishings dating to the 1800's, an 1880 barn with early farm equipment, a reproduction of a one-room schoolhouse, as well as a chicken coop and privy. Open all year, the museum offers history-related programs for school groups, badge-related programs for scouts, pre-school programs, hands-on historical demonstrations for all ages, varied adult programs, and assistance with research on Elk Grove Village. There are no live animals at our museum.
