A trip to Cosley Zoo offers visitors a chance to get up close to a large variety of domestic farm animals and native Illinois wildlife. You'll see cows, horses, sheep, goats, llamas, deer, birds, raccoons, rabbits, chickens, pigs, birds of prey, coyotes, burro and foxes. Cosley Zoo offers paved pathways which are accessible for strollers and persons with disabilities. This spcial zoo was once part of the vast acreage of farmland which covered most of DuPage County; today it educates people of all ages about the animals which impact our lives.
This little zoo is amazing. It's so well put together with stroller friendly paths and interesting wild and farm animals that small children identify and enjoy. Friendly staff, reasonable entrance fee and ample parking (at least on the weekday I went). My granddaughter (19 mos) enjoyed the zoo so much we are sure to return. This is a much more manageable outing for small children than the sometimes overwhelming and crowded bigger zoos. Great job Wheaton and the Cosley staff and thank you!
