The forecast is for truly dangerous cold this weekend, and while we typically encourage families to get out and have fun, we know that many of you are making plans to stay in your pajamas until Monday! And we don't blame you. So in the spirit of hunkering down and staying warm, we’ve put together a "Stay Cozy" movie guide to help you and the kids pass the time this weekend. Grab the extra blankets and some hot cocoa - it's time for a family movie marathon!

For the Littlest Viewers (Ages 2–5)

1. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (Disney+): A gentle, low-stress classic.
2. My Neighbor Totoro (Max): A magical, calm masterpiece about two sisters and a forest spirit.
3. Bluey: The Sign (Disney+): If you haven't seen the "long" episode yet, it's essentially a mini-movie that parents love as much as kids.
4. Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon (Netflix): Silly, wordless slapstick that keeps toddlers giggling.
5. Robin Robin (Netflix): A beautiful stop-motion short film about a bird raised by mice.
6. Cars (Disney+): Bright colors and catchy music make this a perennial favorite for the preschool set.

The Elementary Crew (Ages 6–10)

1. The LEGO Movie (Max/Hulu): Hilarious and fast-paced; usually leads to hours of quiet LEGO building afterward.
2. Paddington 2 (Hulu): Widely considered one of the "perfect" family movies—sweet, funny, and heartwarming.
3. The Mitchells vs. the Machines (Netflix): A chaotic, colorful, and very funny story about a family road trip during a robot apocalypse.
4. Encanto (Disney+): Incredible music and a great story about family dynamics.
5. The Bad Guys (Peacock): A group of animal outlaws tries to go "good" in this stylish, high-energy heist comedy.
6. Marcel the Shell with Shoes On (Hulu): An adorable and surprisingly deep mockumentary about a tiny shell looking for his family.

The Tween Zone (Ages 11–13)

1. Enola Holmes (Netflix): A smart, empowering mystery featuring Sherlock’s younger sister.
2. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Hulu): Visually stunning and deals with themes of identity and finding your path.
3. The Goonies (Max): The ultimate "no school" adventure movie that still holds up for today's kids.
4. Inside Out 2 (Disney+): Perfect for this age group as it introduces "new" emotions like Anxiety and Envy in a relatable way.
5. Hidden Figures (Disney+): An inspiring true story about the Black female mathematicians who helped win the space race.
6. Spirited Away (Max): A breathtaking fantasy adventure that is a great gateway into the world of Studio Ghibli.

Teens & Families

1. The Truman Show (Paramount+): A fascinating look at reality and social media long before "influencers" existed.
2. Little Women (2019) (Hulu): A beautiful, modern take on the classic story that the whole family can enjoy.
3. The Martian (Hulu): High-stakes science and humor as Matt Damon tries to survive on Mars. Great for curious minds.
4. Ferris Bueller's Day Off (Paramount+): The quintessential Chicago movie. If they haven't seen it yet, now is the time.
5. Back to the Future (Peacock): It’s the perfect blockbuster. It’s tight, funny, and exciting from start to finish.
6. Yesterday (Hulu): A fun "what if" movie about a world where only one person remembers the music of the Beatles.
