Get ready to lace up your skates - the Chicago Wolves Ice Rink at Parkway Bank Park is officially back for the season starting Saturday, November 22! This popular winter destination in Rosemont invites families to kick off the holidays with a full lineup of festive fun, including the much-loved "Light Up The Park" celebration.

Opening Day + Light Up The Park Celebration

The rink opens for the season at 11 a.m., but the real magic begins in the afternoon as the Park transforms into a holiday wonderland. From 2-6 p.m., families can enjoy free holiday activities including:

  • Meet-and-greets with Santa and Mrs. Claus
  • Horse-drawn sleigh rides
  • Carolers strolling the park
  • Live ice sculpting demonstrations

At 5:30 p.m., Rosemont Mayor Brad Stephens will flip the switch on more than 80,000 sparkling holiday lights, illuminating the park and officially ushering in the season. Stick around- the ice rink stays open until 10 p.m., and the Park's many restaurants and entertainment attractions will be welcoming families throughout the day.

Skating Info

Admission to the rink is free, and skate rentals are available for $8. The rink will be open through January 25, 2026, with expanded hours on weekends and additional daytime hours during school breaks and holidays.
