Chicago offers plenty of options for celebrating the Fourth of July! From parades to carnivals to spectacular fireworks displays, we've rounded up some of the best options for your weekend celebration. Navy Pier Fireworks and Freedom Fest

July 1. Celebrate the Fourth of July on Saturday July 1 with spectacular fireworks display over Lake Michigan at Navy Pier. The show features a synchronized soundtrack and is viewable from all over the city.

Naperville Salute

The Naperville Salute is our Family-Friendly Independence Day Hometown Celebration, centered around our appreciation for Veterans, Active Military, First Responders and their Families. The Salute blends community, local entertainment, and family fun. The footprint will encompass Rotary Hill June 30 – July 3, 2023, along the Riverwalk in downtown Naperville.

Mount Prospect Lions Club Annual 4th of July Festival

June 30 - July 4. The Mount Prospect Lions Club hosts a 4th of July Festival that includes a carnival, music, entertainment and more. Plus fireworks on both June 30 and July 4 and 9:30 p.m.

Palatine Jaycees Hometown Fest

June 30 - July 4. The festival includes live bands, food vendors, adult beverages (beer, wine and hard seltzers), carnival, business expo and craft fair, Family Day, fireworks and many other family activities.

Mundelein Community Days
Village Hall Plaza, 300 Plaza Circle, Mundelein
July 1-4. The celebration starts Saturday July 1 at 9am with the Pet Parade and Car Show, and the parade takes place July 2 at 2pm from MHS Hawley St. - Seymour Ave. The daily celebartion includes food, music, games, contests, demonstrations, displays and lots of kids' activities. Fireworks are July 4 at 9:30pm.

Fourth of July Celebration in Oak Lawn

July 1 and 4. Celebrations start with a Freedom Run on July 1 at 8am along the Green Bay Trail. The Parade is July 4 at 10am, followed by events including a flag-raising ceremony, a children’s flag parade, and family foot races. Fourthfest is July 4 from 5:30-8:30 with live music, food trucks, attractions for kids, and fireworks at 9:20pm at Skokie Playfield.

Des Plaines Independence Day Celebrations

July 2 and 4. Sunday, July 2 at Oakton College is the fireworks extravaganza. Come early and dance to the DJ and play yard games with family and friends. The parade is on Tuesday at 10am and starts at Center Street and Wicke Avenue.

Fourth of July Celebration in Skokie

July 4. The celebration begins with a parade at noon. At 5 p.m. the fun moves to Niles West High School for a concert at 6:30 featuring The Goo Roos, followed by Mike & Joe. Childrens' games and face painting will also begin at 6:30 p.m., plus live music, food, and fireworks at the lakefront.
