Wishcraft guides kids as they discover the creative muscle in their heads and hands. For the summer and every season (including those funny days when school is closed) Wishcraft camps and classes engage the imagination with inventive projects appropriate for kids Grades K-3 and Grades 3-8. Kids build skills, friendships and confidence as they explore art, fashion, design, style, DIY craft and more. Our planet-friendly and allergy-conscious workshop is a licensed Children's Activities Facility offering small-group camps and classes that ensure lots of instructor engagement, as well as 2 floors of fun and a grassy yard with sun/shade. Summer programs start early in the season and keep going until school starts.
Wishcraft is a funordinary workshop in Chicago in which young artists grow to become confident in their creative freedom in art + craft classes, day camps, clubs, after-school programs and birthday parties. Yes, we teach the arts. More importantly, we ignite creativity. Inventive projects are designed for ready-success; technique and skills are taught within the context of relevant projects with a no-judgment philosophy. The workshop provides a quality learning experience, showing that the application of math, science and creative problem solving can create something functional and fun. Creative reuse is encouraged whenever possible and many of the class and party projects use recycled, natural, found and gluten-free materials. (Did we already tell you that it’s fun?) Eco-craftiness is celebrated. DIY skills are developed.
Opened in 2008 in Chicago's Roscoe Village neighborhood, Wishcraft won a Nickelodeon Parents' Pick award within the first year of opening and was a 2012 Red Tricycle Award finalist in multiple categories. The workshop is an independent, locally-grown Chicago business.
No stickers or manufactured craft-kits here. Creativity. Wishcraft grows artists. Let's make something.
