About Chicago Kids

ChicagoKids.com was launched in October 2001, and was the first online resource for Chicago area parents. I launched the site years before I became a mom - strange, right?

My very first job after college was in the marketing department at Brookfield Zoo, and a few years later I found myself in the newly formed Internet department of a marketing agency. I put those two experiences together - reaching parents + online marketing - and ChicagoKids.com was born. What started as a business idea to fill an empty niche is now even closer to my heart since becoming a parent, and since my daughter was born in 2008, ChicagoKids.com has been my full-time focus.

For more than 10 years, ChicagoKids.com has enjoyed a top position in the local market, with consistent top-ranking search engine placement and a continually expanding audience. Our traffic continues to increase every year, and in 2012 we're averaging 35% more traffic than last year, with nearly 500,000 monthly page views.

ChicagoKids.com has been featured in various media over the years, with coverage in print, radio and tv. Parents respect our brand and our site, and we're a great place for advertisers to get their message across in a warm, friendly and trusted environment.
