Today we went out to some of the temples, including Wat Po to see the famous, enormous Reclining Buddha. It was massive.
Afterwards we went to the Jim Thompson house, which is a big teak house built by an American in the mid-century. Afterwards we had lunch outside near our hotel, just far enough away from the street and sidewalk where we didn't get doused, but got lots of great pictures of the festivities. The high temperature today - 104!!!
