Best 2017 Kids' Concert Series

There's no shortage of kids' music taking place all over the Chicagoland area this summer. We've rounded up some of the best summer concert series that feature the best local kids' performers. Many of these shows are free, or low cost! So grab your dancing shoes, and perhaps your picnic blanket, and check out these great summer shows.

Join Old Town School of Folk Music all summer long as we happily partner once again with the Chicago Park District to provide live musical entertainment for children and families at Toddlers, Tunes and Turtles events all over the city! All performances 6:00 - 6:45 PM. Free.

Select Thursdays June 1 - October 5 from 9:45am - 11:15am. FREE. Shop 15+ local vendors at the Hyde Park Farmers Market for fresh flowers, produce, meat, cheese, baked goods, jams/jellies and enjoy live musical performances on the following Thursdays. Free.

Enjoy live music, kid-friendly fare, and entertainment after-hours. Be sure to explore the Children’s Garden and the Maze Garden. Free for members; Nonmembers, enjoy $5 Arboretum admission after 4:30 p.m.

Select Sundays at noon
All concerts feature lawn seating and guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or a lawn chair. For those wishing to dine before the concert, lunch is served at Le Jardin Restaurant from 11 am - 3 pm. Concessions provided by Mamie's Toffee & Treats. Concerts are free with $10 parking.

Eat to the Beat Kids Concerts

Eat to the Beat features musical acts geared towards younger audiences. Come out to the Jewett Park Pavilion at lunch time to eat, listen to music and play in the park. Free.

Children's Lunch Hour Entertainment
Naperville Riverwalk, Jackson Avenue and Webster Street and Frontier Park, 3415 Book Road, Naperville
Tuesdays June 13 - July 25 (no show July 4), 11:30am
Pack a lunch, bring sunglasses and an umbrella, then join the fun on Tuesday afternoons with a variety of exciting performances geared toward the young and young-at-heart. All shows begin at 11:30 a.m. and last approximately 45 minutes. Free.

Rockin' in the Park

Concerts take place Thursday evenings and feature the music of classic cover bands, food and beverage tents on the park’s great lawn and a musical fireworks display after every show. Outside food and coolers are prohibited. Free.

All concerts are from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. The Grand Food Center will be on-site selling hot dogs, brats, burgers, chips, candy, beverages and Chef Tim’s Specials from 6:00 – 8:15 pm. Adults can enjoy a beverage at the Winnetka Park Foundation’s Beer and Wine Garden from 6 – 8:30 pm. Free.
